Praesepe name Reflex as ‘Innovator of the Year’

Reflex Games secured the inaugural ‘Praesepe Gaming Machine Innovation Award’ for 2012 at the third annual Machine Symposium held last week by the Milton Keynes based gaming operator. 

The accolade was awarded to Reflex for Ladyluck Around the Clock, which, according to the Praesepe judging panel, represented the industry’s most innovative approach to the full implementation of the ‘New Rules’ pertaining to Category C games. 
The Awards are a new addition to Praesepe’s Machine Symposium format which since its launch in 2010 has succeeded in bringing together the leading forces in UK gaming.
CEO Nick Harding opened the day’s proceedings by welcoming guests including Dr Werner Schroer of parent company Gauselmann as well as senior representatives of manufacturing companies including Astra, Bell-Fruit, Blueprint, CMS, Concept, Electrocoin, Empire, Fair Games,  Genesis, IGG, ITL, Project, SG Gaming, Voyager and World Bingo Tech.
Explaining the purpose of the Symposium, Harding said: “When we launched this event in 2010 we did so with four main objectives in mind. Firstly to update our key suppliers and partners on the main factors that are influencing and shaping our business. Secondly to share our current vision for product development; thirdly, to share ideas and lastly to define how we work together to optimise Praesepe gaming machine revenues, which, courtesy of our profit share business model, you all benefit from.”  
Sessions delivered by the Praesepe senior management team included the AGC Gaming Machine Product,, Gaming Machine Retailing in Bingo Clubs, Opportunities Created by Machines Games Duty, 24-hour Trading and Marketing. Reviewing the day’s discussions, Nick Harding said: “The fantastic attendance and support we received from our colleagues in the manufacturing sector reflects the importance and value of having a day devoted to product.”
