On March 28-30, Innovative Technology joined a wide range of gaming and amusement suppliers at this year’s FER-Interazar show in the Spanish capital, where the group exhibited its full product range, complete with the new NV200 Spectral note validator.

The NV200 Spectral features high-end sensing technology that scans 4.8 million data points and captures 100% of the note image. The unit boasts 99%+ first time acceptance of new and street grade notes, with a note-to-note processing time of just two seconds.

Following the Madrid show, caught up with Innovative Technology’s group sales director, Mustapha Hadj-Ahmed, who discussed the company’s growing business in Spain.

“Spain is a strong market for us and there’s a real sense of continued optimism across the industry,” Hadj-Ahmed said. “Back in 1996 we opened an office in Barcelona, recognising early in the company’s history how important the Spanish market would be for us.

“Twenty-one years on, this is still the case. The Spanish office has grown, with more staff in key sales and support roles to insure the highest level of customer service for our customers.

“We have good relationships with the main operators in the Spanish gaming market and have been supplying their cash handling equipment for some time now. We even designed a product specifically for the market in 2010 with the NV11+. This unit provides note recycling capabilities in a compact space envelope whilst maximising cash efficiency and reducing operational costs.”

Innovative Technology has demonstrated the NV200 Spectral at a number of exhibitions already this year, and Hadj-Ahmed said visitors have been impressed by the unit’s advanced technology and innovation. “The unit’s modular design allows operators to add note recycling or ticket printing functionality, and various operators are looking to trial the unit in their applications,” he said.

Totally Gaming says: Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2017, Innovative Technology is now exhibiting at more trade shows than ever before. The company’s global growth is being fuelled by R&D in the cash handling sector, and new products such as the NV200 Spectral are set to be joined by even more new coin and note handling devices over the coming months.
