CEO Mathias Larsson said it is important to choose the right themes for Asian gamers

XIN Gaming managing director Mathias Larsson has told that the Asia-facing software developer is experiencing monthly double-digit growth as players across the region increasingly embrace online slots.

XIN has targeted the release of 20 games over the course of 2016, with new title ‘Monkey King’ to be introduced next week, as it attempts to meet the demand of the region’s burgeoning online gaming market.

The Manila-based company has been aided by the distribution deal it signed with Asia Gaming towards the end of last year, which gives it access to more than 400 operators, and Larsson said its growth shows it is on the right track.

“The overall performance for our portfolio is very strong,” Larsson said. “The growth for our slot games in Asia is phenomenal.”

Monkey King is a fice-reel, three-row, 25-line video slot which is inspired by the 16th century Chinese novel ‘Journey to the West’. Larsson explained that the game is the latest example of XIN attempting to reach out to Asian players in their own region and around the world.

“We have seen that it is important to choose a theme for games that people know about. Monkey King is a beautiful old story that most people in Asia have rearm" he said. “Besides the game theme, animations and graphics, we believe that players will love the game play. There are four random features that can happen anytime during the base game, and the bonus game is very exciting, with the Monkey King fighting different characters from the story.” says: “Asia is undoubtedly a key region for growth in digital gaming, with the growth of broadband penetration and mobile usage. XIN’s high-quality games and distribution deals mean it is in a great position to lead the market.”
