Why Sporting Solutions teamed up with RTSmunity

On Monday of this week a partnership between Sporting Solutions and esports betting specialists RTSmunity was signed with William Hill announced as the first partner to benefit.

We asked Simon Trim, the CEO at Sporting Index, why they opted for a partnership with RTSmunity. He said: “Sporting Solutions is synonymous with pricing and trading excellence, and we only supply best of breed products through our Connect platform.

“RTSmunity’s machine learning algorithms and zero-latency delivery on the major eSports titles mean they reach the standard our partners demand. It’s clear that some existing solutions in the market are overly manual as they have a limited number of markets and are slow in comparison, so we believe Sporting Solutions and RTSmunity can be market leading through what we offer.”

Thus far William Hill’s attempts at offering esports have been few and far between, and frankly off the mark. This is far from irregular as far as the big name bookmakers go, and one reason is the complexity of offering live esports odds. Operators have found it a challenge to make much profit with the markets so far.

Esports has understandably been a significant talking point at ICE this week, and the first day included a full day esports seminar. RTSmunity has been there showcasing its range of focused products, as have Betradar, Vermantia, Ultraplay and Betgenius. William Hill becomes the first partner to benefit from this new deal, and we questioned Trim on whether the betting giant could catch up and make its mark on esports betting this year.

He confidently stated: “We have had an uninterrupted partnership with William Hill for 10 years.  During that time they have proven themselves to be at the forefront of the market in respect of new developments, and there is no reason why esports is not going to follow the same path .”

Totally Gaming says: This is an opportunity for William Hill to finally make some strides in esports. Whether they offer it in the right way remains very much up in the air.
