Kenyan sports betting operator SportPesa has teamed up with Italian online gaming solutions provider Microgame, ahead of the brand’s expansion into the Italian market.

SportPesa, who acquired a majority shareholding in RCS Gaming earlier in 2017, will team up with Microgame to deliver an online sportsbook and casino, as well as online poker, virtual games, table games and bingo products.

The Italian-facing products will then be enhanced with SportPesa’s proprietary games, with Microgame’s technical staff working alongside SportPesa’s Development team to handle the integration.

Describing the integration process, SportPesa marketing manager Marcella Pellegrini told TotallyGaming.com: “The integration process will see all the professionalism from both SportPesa and Microgame side, combining the deep understanding of the market and the technical support with the aim to provide our customers with the best product on the market and to keep developing the online gaming industry with new ideas and the most advanced technology. The Italian players will benefit from the experience and expertise of Microgame in the Italian market and the vision and international approach of SportPesa."

Marco Castaldo, the chief executive officer of Microgame, added: “We are extremely proud to have been chosen outsourcing partner by a successful international group such as SportPesa for its launch in Italy. We are confident about the great potential of this project and will deploy all the resources necessary to ensure its success.”

Totally Gaming says: Given the strong working relationship, SportPesa and Microgame can produce a high quality gaming experience for the Italian market. A market that is experiencing growth at the moment, with the expansion of virtual products in the region.
