Parent company ASAP Italia was placed at 282 on the list.

ASAP Italia, the company behind fantasy sports betting platform Sportito, has made it into the FT1000 as one of the fastest growing companies in Europe, with an impressive 514% revenue growth.

Compiled by the Financial Times, the highly respected list recognises the world’s fastest growing businesses.

Sportito came in at 282nd out of 1000, and was 5th in the media sector alongside high-profile UK companies such as New Wave Capital, Blue Glass Interactive and Zopa.

The company had a compound annual growth rate of 83.1% between 2013 and 2016, with a revenue marked as £1.7 million for the 2016 calendar year.

Sportito also struck deals with three English football clubs - Burnley, Fulham and Queens Park Rangers.

CEO Riccardo Mittiga told "Sportito has had amazing progress since forming and the company entering in the FT1000 ranking was a milestone for us and we have big plans to conquer more markets in Europe.

“With our ultimate goal to become the best Daily Fantasy Sports provider for the fantasy sports lovers in the world, Europe is our first target. We are investing more in innovation and technology advancements in order to provide a better platform for our users"

Totally Gaming says: Sportito’s parent company ASAP Italia entering the FT1000 list may have came as a welcome surprise for those involved with the DFS platform, but few can argue with the a revenue growth of 514%. The challenge now is to continue with this momentum and keep moving forward.
