Affiliate ambition: Christian Lundberg joins RakeTech amid a period of strong growth

Christian Lundberg was named as the new chairman of RakeTech earlier this week, as the European online gambling affiliate sees “many opportunities” for future acquisitions.

Established in 2010, Malta-based RakeTech has been growing at an impressive rate. This year, the group started development on a new office floor to cater for a recent recruitment drive, and recently hit a milestone when it brought its 100th employee on board.

RakeTech operates some of the leading online casino and sports betting websites in Europe, and Lundberg joins as the company as its management team looks to secure continued long-term growth in the affiliate market.

He has extensive experience from leading international organisations, and currently works as a strategic advisor to several corporate leaders in both publicly listed and private companies through his own business, A Force 4U.

“RakeTech has experienced a remarkable journey over the past 12 months,” CEO Michael Holberg told TotallyGaming.com. “The company has grown from 30 people a year ago to over 100 people today, and we are welcoming new people to the RakeTech family every week.

“We secured substantial financing to invest in acquisitions earlier in the year, and have since acquired some great companies. We are now supplying players to some 300 gaming companies around the globe and have launched a record number of new websites this year and expanding heavily into sports content.”

According to Holberg, the remainder of the year will herald further growth for RakeTech, as he helps build the organisation for the future.

“Our focus is to further develop our brands, create more sophisticated websites and provide higher quality services for our partners,” he said. “In terms of acquisitions, we are always looking for the right fit for our company, and I see many opportunities out there.”

Totally Gaming says: RakeTech is focused on maintaining its strong growth trajectory over the long term, and the appointment of Lundberg – an experienced business strategist and corporate advisor – will no doubt help the company to achieve its ambitions.
