Pazner has been promoted from SVP of the company’s B2C arm

Itai Pazner has set his sights on “exciting and dynamic times” for 888 after being promoted to the executive position of Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Having worked at 888 for 16 years, most recently as Senior Vice President of the B2C division, Pazner has now assumed responsibility for the company’s key operational functions, including product strategy, technology roadmaps, human resources and marketing.

He told "These are exciting and dynamic times. My focus is on further developing the business in regulated markets and leveraging 888's position to grow our sports vertical. I also aim to capitalize on the group's unique casino proposition and continue driving the business forward."

Pazner, who will be reporting directly to 888 Holdings’ CEO Itai Frieberger, added: “I am delighted to accept this role. 888 has a fantastic team and special culture across the business spearheaded by our experienced and dynamic team of SVPs.

“The new organisational structure will help to support and enhance 888’s operational excellence, efficiency and creativity as we continue to grow as a global leader in online gaming.”

The operator has been without a COO since March last year when Frieberger, who had served in the role since 2011, was promoted to CEO of the business.

Totally Gaming says: It has been a turbulent few months for 888, with news that the O Shaked family had sold their entire stake coming so soon after the online gambling group was handed a record £7.8 million fine for ‘serious failings’ in its handling of vulnerable customers.

Frieberger is hoping that Pazner’s appointment, described by the CEO as the “natural evolution of our organisational structure”, will help to provide both stability and sustained growth across the international regulated markets in which 888 operates.
