Deal will see supplier deploy IMS platform in new Eastern European markets

iGaming solutions giant Playtech has agreed to expand its partnership with Eastern European gaming operator Fortuna Entertainment Group.

Alongside a seven-year extension to the supply agreement signed by the companies in 2016, Playtech will also roll out its IMS player management platform for its brands in Slovakia, Poland and Croatia.

Under the terms of the original 2016 deal, the platform was deployed in the Czech and Romanian markets.

“This is a significant agreement for Playtech and FEG,” Playtech chief operating officer Shimon Akad said. “The extension and expansion of our partnership highlights both the success we’ve had, and the further growth we see ahead.

“This is a perfect example of how Playtech technology leads the way when it comes to enabling operator growth across regulated markets, and a further reflection of our role as the infrastructure of the industry.”

Fortuna Entertainment chief executive Per Widerstrom said that original partnership had helped establish the business as the leading operator in the Central and Eastern European region.

“Having achieved this ambition, we will continue looking to grow and build our offer further in new and existing regulated markets,” he said.

“Our close partnership with Playtech will continue to be crucial in delivering on this strategy and delivering an industry leading omni-channel approach to our players.”
