The website is owned by Chicago's Rush Street Interactive has become the first website in the US to offer online virtual sports betting.

Owned by Chicago-based Rush Street Interactive, the site has received approval from New Jersey regulators to let patrons bet online on the outcome of virtual computer-generated sporting events, including football, horse, dog and vehicle racing.

Technology company Inspired Entertainment created the product, which debuts shortly before a US Supreme Court ruling that could legalise real-world sports betting in the US. detailed in a press statement: “ is pleased to offer online players exciting ways to wager and win on virtual sports betting events. Bettors can wager on an endless line-up of simulated races, including horse, greyhound, speedway and motor racing, and even team sports; with soccer being the first virtual team sports game to launch on the site, with more to follow soon.

“Combining Ultra HD graphics with ‘live’ commentary, Inspired’s award-winning products take sporting enthusiasts right to the track or arena. When betting on a virtual sporting event, players make their wager and then watch the live stream of the event; it’s just like watching the real life events – and there’s no handicap knowledge required.”

Rush Street President Richard Schwartz told " is excited to be the first to bring online virtual sports betting to the United States, with our debut this week of virtual sports games on our New Jersey online casino site and mobile apps.

“Real money betting on traditional sportsbooks is not yet legal in NJ, so we expect virtual sports betting will attract new players, who play computer games and love sports, to wager on exciting games to win cash.  There is no denying the success of virtual sports betting in Europe and we expect the same results in the New Jersey market."

Totally Gaming: This is an incredibly exciting development for and its owners Rush Street Interactive. Not only will they make history by being the first to offer online virtual sports betting, they are also doing so at a time when there is a realistic opportunity that the sports betting floodgates could be opening in the US.
