Prestige Baccarat is the latest live product from the major supplier

Playtech has been working with its close partners in order to develop its latest live gaming product - Prestige Baccarat.

Kevin Kilminster, head of innovation for the Playtech Live division, said that the classic game of Baccarat has been given a modern day makeover and the live Baccarat experience has been significantly enhanced with five gameplay angles and action replays of winning hands enabling players to get closer to the action than in any physical or online environment.

Kilminster told TotallyGaming.com: “The game has been developed in close co-operation with licensees and undergone rigorous user testing to determine what our customers and their players want from a live casino game and overall offering.

“It is the second instalment in our growing range of Prestige games that offer superior gameplay, multiple dynamic camera views and replays so players get closer to the action, and comes complete with our enhanced UI and UX offering players the features they want, where they want them and how they want to use them.

“Prestige Baccarat and our existing Prestige Roulette games, as well as our forthcoming Prestige Blackjack product are taking live casino games to the next level and are very much part of our expanding range and broader next generation live casino offering.”

Staged in a newly designed environment, Prestige Baccarat offers a custom designed cloth and backdrop which depicts the Chinese symbol for Luck, plus a series of specially positioned cameras which focus on the ‘Squeeze’ element of Baccarat and reinforce the values and experience this type of game is aimed to deliver.

The game’s user experience and journey has also been re-engineered and enhanced for ease of use, while the dealers themselves have been hand-picked for their Baccarat skillset and native languages depending on which options players select.

The game showcases Playtech Live’s first re-engineered user interface which, following the company’s release of HTML5 Roulette, has been built in close co-operation with licensees. Extensive discovery sessions and customer feedback and the addition of hand-picked expert Baccarat dealers, combine to create what the firm describes as Playtech Live’s best ever UI to date.

Playtech COO Shimon Akad said: “Prestige Baccarat and the Prestige suite of products marks the beginning of a very exciting journey and Playtech Live unveiling its next generation of live casino games, platform technology and software that we believe will take live casino to an entirely new level of product capability, performance and personalisation.”

Kilminster added: “The newly refined live game contains the classic squeeze variations as well as the squeeze logic associated with one of the most popular casino games in the world. The feedback has been very positive so far and we’re sure it will go from strength-to-strength.”

Totally Gaming says: A great deal of online casino innovation these days is being concentrated in the live dealer sector and Playtech is attempting to bring the quality up with its Prestige range - a Live Dealer 2.0 if you will. It also shows how much the concept has matured since the technology for robust live streaming made the product viable.
