Nevada posts lowest monthly online poker revenue in September

Nevada has been hit by the news that the US state suffered its worst monthly online poker performance of the year in September as revenue plummeted for the third successive month.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board reported that revenue from the state’s online poker market amounted to just $693,000 (€551,574), compared to the previous lowest monthly total of $742,000 that was generated by licensed operators in the state during August.
Online poker revenue figures have continued to fall since peaking at just over $1m in June, with September’s total amounting to little over half of the year-high figure.
In addition to an ongoing decline in the state’s online poker market, Nevada was hit by a decrease in total gaming win.
Non-restricted gaming licensees in the US state generated a total gaming win of about $901.7m in September, down by approximately 6 per cent from the $958.9m achieved in the same month last year.
