Microgaming goes live in Colombia with Wplay

Supplier has launched a range of slot and table games for Aquila Global-owned brand

Microgaming has launched its games in Colombia’s regulated iGaming market with Aquila Global Group’s Wplay.co brand.

The content has been rolled out with Wplay, the first brand to receive an online gaming licence from the country’s gambling regulator Coljuegos, following an integration with the supplier’s Quickfire open platform. 

A range of Microgaming’s most popular slots are now live alongside a number of roulette variants, with more content to be added in the coming months. 

“Going live with Wplay.co marks a significant occasion that further solidifies our expansion in the Latin American market,” Microgaming chief operating officer Andrew Clucas said. 

"The launch of our diverse library of games with Wplay.co, operated by the first Colombian gaming licence holder, also marks a strategic relationship that we look forward to continue cultivating as we both grow our presence in the region.”

Wplay general manager Julio Tamayo  commented: “Adding the different games of Microgaming to our platform means our players remain completely engaged with Wplay. 

“Innovation is key in all we do, and we want our players to have the best experience possible in our platform,” Tamayo explained. “This deal helps us diversify our offering further to meet the demand of all Colombian players. We are very satisfied with this new alliance.”
