The extension affirms the strong relationship between the two

Brighton Racecourse, Arena Racing Company (“ARC”) and Marathonbet have announced the extension of the operator’s sponsorship for the 2018 Festival of Racing.

The three-day meeting, which enriches the sponsorship portfolio of Marathonbet and is a highlight of Brighton’s racing calendar, will take place between 8th and 10th August. The online bookmaker will be headline sponsor for all three days of the Festival and its branding will appear throughout the course.

A spokesperson for ARC emphasised to “ARC and Brighton Racecourse are really delighted to have Marathonbet’s continued support for the Brighton Festival of Racing.  They are a brand with significant sponsorships across other sports, and we’re delighted to have welcomed them to racing for the first time at this meeting last year.”

Commenting on the importance of the relationship between betting operators and ARC racecourses, they added: “Our relationship with mainstream betting operators is very important, and we always look forward to working with our racecourse partners to help them grow their brand and promote our racing products to their customers.”

Natalia Zavodnik, CEO at Marathonbet, also commented on the extension: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Brighton Racecourse’s Extraordinary Festival of Racing for another year. Last year’s three-day event proved such a success that we couldn’t wait to get involved again.”

On the track, Wednesday 8th August features Brighton’s richest race, The Hobgoblin Mile, with Ladies’ Day on Thursday hosting both The Brighton Challenge Cup and the Brighton leg of The Silk Series, a race for female jockeys, which was won in 2017 by eventual Silk Series champion Megan Nicholls.

Racegoers will be able to enjoy the racing alongside a whole host of entertainment, including vintage food stalls, pop-up bars and music alongside the iconic views over Brighton. Marathonbet and Brighton Racecourse will be engaging with racing fans in the run up to the Festival with competitions and chances to win prizes and tickets on social media.

Paul Ellison, Executive Director of Brighton Racecourse, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Marathonbet back to Brighton for the Festival of Racing in August. They were fantastic supporters of the meeting last year and we’re really looking forward to working with them to promote their brand, and the meeting, over the coming weeks.”

Totally Gaming says: The Festival of Racing is one of the most anticipated events on the racing calendar. Marathonbet’s continued support is sure to make its branding synonymous with the event, something that will only help the operator when building its presence amongst racing fans.
