Operator's Vera&John and InterCasino brands licensed by Lotteriinspektionen

JPJ Group’s Vera&John and InterCasino brands have been cleared to launch in Sweden’s iGaming market from January 2019.

The operator’s Dumarca Gaming subsidiary has been awarded an online casino licence by the country’s gambling regulator the Lotteriinspektionen, alongside four other operators.

It will be joined in the market by Latvian operator Optibet, which has secured online gaming and sports betting licences for its core brand, as well as for its BestPoker, BestCasino, BestBingo and BestBet brands.

The pair have had their licences approved alongside three more online casino licensees.

Bayton Ltd, a Malta-based operator, has been given the green light to launch its Jackpot City Casino, Ruby Fortune and Spin Casino brands, as has Genesis Global. The Swedish operator will roll out a range of brands including Casino Cruise, Spinit, Genesis Casino and Vegas Hero from January 2019.

Finally, L&L Europe, a company already licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and Malta Gaming Authority, will roll out a host of brands in the market.

To date 25 operators have been approved to enter the market, with Svenska Spel also awarded a licence to continue its monopoly in the lottery sector.
