Manx Telecom and Intelligence Limited, the Isle of Man's largest telecoms operator and leading software and IT advisory company respectively, have formed a strategic alliance that will create a "centre of excellence" on the island.

Announcing the news, Manx Telecom CEO, Mike Dee, said; “We believe that, together, Manx Telecom and Intelligence will offer something new and powerful to companies thinking of locating their operations either actually, or virtually, on the Isle of Man.  We are, in effect, forming a centre of excellence in communications technology, and we are doing so in the areas of converged technologies, virtualisation, and services which utilise cloud-based technology, such as hosted and managed services – all of which are the growth technologies of the future."

Commenting for Intelligence Limited, CEO, Steve Woodford, said, “This move reflects the rapid changes taking place in every business sector, and in technology itself. Today, convergence across IT and telecoms is increasingly on the agenda for CEO’s, management teams and owners of every business sector. We are moving to an interconnected world; a world in which the digital revolution requires new responses from new types of companies, or groupings of companies. This new alliance brings together the right skills, and the right experience, at the right time in the development of the Isle of Man as a global business centre.”
