Inspired Gaming has further expanded the reach of its virtual sports business by introducing the service in Georgia after it identified the country as a “perfect” candidate to launch its products.

Games will be available in the country through a partnership with Adjarabet, with the gaming operator set to offer seven virtual sports of horses, greyhounds, football, cycling, tennis, motor racing and speedway.

Sports will be broadcast to players every three minutes across six feeds, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Inspired said that this schedule equates to more than 8,000 virtual events each day.

Speaking to about the reasons behind the decision to launch in Georgia, Steve Rogers, senior vice-president for virtual sports at Inspired, said that the company identified the national market as one in which it can achieve growth.

“With a strong gaming market, Georgia was a perfect candidate to launch Inspired’s virtuals,” Rogers said. “Inspired is working alongside Adjarabet, the biggest gaming operator in Georgia, to deliver seven of Inspired’s virtual sports.

“Inspired has over a decade of experience launching its virtuals in new markets. virtuals are incredibly attractive to new markets; they are proven to drive structured, incremental revenue. We are thrilled to be enabling players to enjoy world-class virtual content in Georgia for the first time.”

Inspired will be the first company to begin offering virtual sports betting in Georgia. Despite virtual sports being new to the country, Rogers expects to replicate the success the firm has experienced in other regions and territories.

“All markets differ, but our virtual sports are proven to generate around 20 to 25 per cent of incremental revenue for a sportsbook operator,” Rogers said. “Inspired’s virtual sports products launched as a brand new category of sporting event in Italy in 2014 and generated over $1.5bn (€1.4bn) of bets in the first year.”

On the subject of other markets, Rogers revealed that company is considering expansion in a number of countries around the world – with a particular focus on the Asia-Pacific and Latin America regions.

“Virtuals are a growing segment that is evolving with player preferences and demand,” Rogers said. “Virtual bets are now accounting for an increasing percentage of bets in already established markets - for instance 20 per cent of all bets in Italy and 10 per cent of bets in the UK are now on virtual sports.

“In 2015, Inspired will be focusing on its virtuals expansion in Asia-Pacific and Latin America. In 2014, Inspired signed deals in the Philippines with the DFNN Group of Companies and in Colombia with Betancur, so this year will see Inspired implementing its services.”
