Evolution Gaming veteran joins to replace Christoffer Tell

Ninja Casino operator Global Gaming has named Niklas Jönsson as its new chief financial officer, replacing Christoffer Tell in the role.

Jönsson will begin his new role on January 1st, 2019, with Tell to remain with the business in an advisory capacity until February 28th.

An experienced accountant, Jönsson most recently served as CFO of live dealer solutions provider Evolution Gaming, spending two years in the role after a stint as the supplier’s financial controller.

"It's incredibly inspiring to be part of Global Gaming’s continuing journey,” Jönsson said of his new position. "Having come from the supplier side of the industry, I now want to continue my personal development on the operator side.”

His predecessor Tell has been working for Global Gaming on a contractual basis since 2010, but employed by the operator since 2016.

"The past three years have been a fantastic experience both for the company and myself personally,” he said of his time with the business. “The listing on Nasdaq First North was a big milestone but, above all, the growth that Global Gaming has achieved, and the fact that we now have an annualised revenue of SEK1bn has really been incredible. We have managed to build a fantastic company in such a short time."

Global Gaming CEO Joacim Möller added: "Christoffer has been an extremely important piece of the puzzle in Global Gaming's growth and I will miss his enthusiasm and his knowledge.

“At the same time, it will be exciting to have Niklas and his experience onboard on our journey.”
