Group CFO to take on more strategic role as Michael Gatt takes charge of day-to-day finance

Ninja Casino operator Global Gaming 555 has strengthened its management team by appointing Michael Gatt to the newly-created role of operational chief financial officer.

Gatt, who has served as finance manager for Global Gaming’s Malta-based operational subsidiary since 2017, has been appointed to the company’s management team as a result.

He has previously worked for Betsafe, Europe Entertainment Ltd and professional services giant PWC.

“I am proud but also pleased by this vote of confidence and the new responsibilities that come with the new role,” Gatt said. “I am looking forward to being part of this talented management team.”

With Gatt taking charge of financial management for Global Gaming’s operations, group CFO Christoffer Tell will shift his focus towards governance, investor relations and M&A.

“Michael has worked hard and has certainly proven his worth over the past year,” Tell said. “So I feel very confident in handing over part of my areas of responsibility to him.

“This new division of responsibilities will allow me to make more effective use of resources and focus on developing the company,” he explained. “This in turn means we’ll be more agile and responsive when the right opportunities arise.”
