Gambling.com announces another new localised site

Gambling.com has announced the release of a localised version of its site in the United States, as the firm continues its worldwide expansion.

The company has stated that this latest move is part of a conscious effort to take market share in an ever growing regulated US online gambling market.

This latest unveiling follows a number of other moves throughout 2017, which saw localised versions of Gambling.com released in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Ireland.

Charles Gillespie, chief executive officer of Gambling.com, told TotallyGaming.com: “The US is the most exciting developing market in our opinion. Despite the slow pace of regulatory development it is a massive market with great infrastructure, and people comfortable spending money online. In time it should be the largest regulated online gambling market in the world.

“The current legal situation is clear for casino and poker in the states that have regulated. With a little luck the Supreme Court will rule favourably on the PASPA case and sports betting will come online as well.”

Gillespie added: “In 2018 we plan to shift somewhat from producing and publishing new websites to optimising the websites we have.

"We now have over 50 different websites which is enough to effectively target the markets we are interested in. We will now focus on making each one of those newer sites, such as Gambling.com/us, the leaders in their respective markets.”

Regarding the new site gambling.com details that an initial focus is to be placed upon New Jersey, however, the future will see regulated online gambling from all US states covered on the new site.

In addition it was also stated that a particular focus is to be placed upon the “fast changing” gambling regulations within the nation, while sports betting will not currently feature on this new version due to its illegal status within the country.

Totally Gaming says: Gambling.com USA represents another very useful addition to the firm’s portfolio of localised sites, which the company itself states it has been waiting to launch since its 2006 inception. With the ruling by the Supreme Court on PASPA expected sometime in mid 2018, it could be exciting time in the world of legalised online sports betting within the USA.
