Initial launch made in September of this year

Following the successful launch of its daily fantasy sports (DFS) product, EvenBet has outlined its intention to develop the platform further still and break into a new arena in 2018.

Esports is currently undergoing phenomenal growth, and next year could see the online gaming software developer make the cross over.

Dmitry Starostenkov, CEO of EvenBet Gaming, told TotallyGaming.com: “The success of a modern gaming operator is based upon offering a strong product across the verticals, and DFS can be an important component.

“Integrating a DFS product into a sportsbook or casino has a proven benefit across a number of KPIs, especially as cross-selling techniques become more sophisticated.

He added: “Esports is another interesting area, and is set for major growth over the next few years. During Q2 2018, EvenBet is planning to optimise our platform for fantasy esports tournaments, and we are currently in talks to find a reliable esports data provider to partner with.

“It is an extremely exciting area for DFS, and the vertical can grow long into the future as long as it finds its place within gaming’s broader ecosystem, and continues to focus upon its strengths in terms of engagement and retention.”

EvenBet’s turnkey DFS product allows operators a seamless integration, with design focussed on offering a guaranteed deep user engagement.

At launch a range of features were also offered, including the ability to manage fantasy teams during events, communicate with friends and other players via a social layer and create customised matches based on real events.

Totally Gaming says: EvenBet’s DFS product was intended to breathe new life into the vertical at launch, with a key focus placed on client retention. This latest announcement of a potential shift into the Esports arena may sound ambitious, but developing a product to be utilised on a hugely popular, and constantly rising, industry could well be a big winner.
