Caesars Interactive Entertainment (CIE) says it is expecting growth and improved performance after selecting NYX to power its relaunched online casino in New Jersey.

CaesarsCasino will use NYX’s Open Platform System (OPS) as it seeks to build on the $3.2m (€2.8m) gaming win it generated during May 2016. That figure, well down on the $3.9m reported by long-time market leader Borgata, was accrued by CaesarsCasino as well as fellow Caesars partners HarrahsCasino, WSOP and 888. said it believes the deal can elevate its player marketing and loyalty services and help it continue with a growing portfolio of desktop and mobile games from NYX and its extensive third-party content supplier network.

“This is an immense opportunity for NYX and we are thrilled that CIE has chosen to further our partnership”, said Kevin Vonasek, NYX’s chief product officer (Americas). "CIE is absolutely a key partner for NYX as we continue to execute our US strategy in anticipation of future casino iGaming expansion beyond New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada.

“This agreement is a testament to both the quality and flexibility of our platform and the exceptional working relationship we've enjoyed with CIE to date."

The deal builds on a content provision agreement that was signed between the two companies last year. The terms of the agreement include options that could further deepen their strategic relationship “pending further expansion of online gaming in the US and/or CIE’s strategy in New Jersey”.

Marco Ceccarelli, senior vice-president and chief information officer for CIE, added: “CaesarsCasino is excited to be supported by an award-winning and deeply-functional platform in NYX’s OPS. The platform and games will undoubtedly be catalysts for future growth in New Jersey.” says: “Competition is increasingly fierce in New Jersey, particularly with PokerStars’ recent entry.”
