Breakout Gaming secures Curacao gaming licence

Online operator Breakout Gaming Group has secured a Curacao licence, after successfully meeting all of the jurisdiction’s eGaming requirements.
The new licence will cover the group’s existing BreakoutGaming.com website, and is expected to also provide licensing for the soon-to-launch Breakout Lottos gaming entertainment website.
Launched in November 2016, BreakoutGaming.com offers a full sportsbook, as well as both RNG and live dealer casino games, poker, virtual and fantasy sports, skill games and financial betting.
The site supports all popular deposit methods, which will shortly include both Bitcoin and the company’s purpose-built Breakout Coin (BRK), which trades publicly on Bittrex.com.
“Having our own licence provides several immediate benefits,” chief gaming officer Gian Perroni told TotallyGaming.com.
“The first is our control over the processing methods, costs and speed, all of which will benefit our players. Secondly, Curacao supports processing in cryptocurrencies, which will allow us to support players that prefer to use them, including both Bitcoin and the Breakout Coin.”
Breakout has seen the value of its BRK increase over 600% in recent days, and confidence that the coin will be available for direct deposit and withdrawal within the group is expected to further increase and stabilise its value in the market.
“As we’ve discussed at several conferences, cryptocurrencies can be considered an almost perfect token for gaming,” Perroni said. “They are expedient and have low transactional costs, secure transfers and no chargebacks.
“Customers can easily move money in and out without have to tie-up their hard-earned money sitting in player accounts. We believe Bitcoin, and purpose-built coins like BRK, certainly represent a growing opportunity for both consumers and operators, and fully expect cryptocurrencies in general to continue to gain wider acceptance throughout the industry.”
Totally Gaming says: In addition to its established online offering, Breakout Gaming Group is quickly developing its custom-built BRK payment platform. The new Curacao licence gives the company a solid backing as it looks to roll out BRK-denominated poker and casino games over the coming months.
