The operator is now partnered with four major international clubs

Marathonbet was recently announced as the official sponsor of Dynamo Moscow. The bookmaker signed a three-year agreement, taking effect from the 2017/2018 season.

The company logo will now appear on the players’ jerseys and in the club’s home ground, as well as its training facilities. Marathonbet will also feature on the club’s various digital platforms.

Speaking to about activating sponsorships, Marathonbet PR executive Joe Lovelace stated: “At Marathonbet we pride ourselves on making the most of our sponsorships in terms of activation across a variety of channels.

“Our work with Manchester United, Hibernian and Malaga last season saw us create engaging content on a regular basis, appealing to these club’s core fanbase whilst offering enhancements on a number of their matches. We’ll look to continue this work with all four of our partnered clubs heading into the new season, including Dynamo Moscow.”

On the notion of whether this deal happened due to a declining value in betting partnerships with Premiership clubs, Lovelace said: “This isn’t necessarily a greater value, but more so an equal value and more importantly a chance to engage and speak to a new set of supporters and potential future customers.

“We feel having a presence in a number of leagues and countries is vital to achieving our future aims whilst ultimately gaining supporters trust.”

General director of Dynamo Moscow FC Yevgeniy Muravyov said of the deal: "Sponsorship is an important part of the club’s make-up and we are therefore glad that our search has ended with a partnership with Marathonbet, a leader in the betting sector and one that is confident and optimistic about the future. We share our partner's goals and values in fair play and great customer experiences.”

Totally Gaming says: This is a significant move into a major new territory for Marathonbet, and the club will have to work hard to make the best of it. Looking at the bookmaker’s other campaigns however, such as the Non-League Challenge, creativity is clearly far from lacking, and so we’ve little doubt they’ll make it a success.
