Sun International relaunched its website on the Bede platform.

Gambling platform and software company Bede Gaming has described the South African sports betting market as showing “a great deal of potential, with rising revenues across a number of verticals.”

The comment was made in the aftermath of the firm’s deal with South African casino group Sun International, which saw the group relaunch it’s www.sunbet.co.za site on the Bede platform.

“We are delighted to have relaunched Sun International’s Sunbet site on the Bede platform and are excited about the opportunities this exclusive partnership will bring,” Ross Haselhurst, Bede’s Commercial Director, told TotallyGaming.com.

“The South African market is showing a great deal of potential, with rising revenues across a number of verticals. We are confident that the flexibility and scalability offered by the Bede platform will give Sun International the capability to take advantage of that potential.”

Sun International now has the chance to capitalise on Bede’s industry leading tools to bring their sportsbook offering to life. Using the platform specialists’ multiple open APIs, Sun International have been able to create a bespoke offering for its customers, which perfectly matches the high standards of the retail experience their players have come to expect.

The new territory launch is timed to coincide with the recently-started FIFA World Cup, providing Sun International with a digital platform from which to create new opportunities surrounding this global event.

Totally Gaming says: South Africa is a developing nation with bags of potential, and its sports betting market is no different. Any sort of inroads into this market must be viewed as a positive step, and time will tell whether or not Bede decide to push on further now that they have a foothold.
