5p0rtz has set about becoming the UK market leader in fantasy sports by 2019, after launching a new pools betting platform developed by Snack Gaming.

The platform, designed to enable players to turn lower stakes into bigger jackpots wins, has been developed on behalf on Trillionaire Ltd, a consortium of UK-based sports betting investors.

It was soft launched with a freeroll pick six £1 million Grand National Game, which will be followed this month by another £1m freeroll game focused on the football World Cup.

During the World Cup, there will be daily games with cashout, while the fantasy element enables players to earn points that are displayed on weekly and monthly leaderboards.

Oliver Hickey, 5p0rtz CEO, told "Put simply with us the house doesn’t win the players do. We always have a winner and at the point of placing your bet you know immediately what the odds are of you winning.

“We offer an accumulator style of play, but the difference is you can make some bad selections and still be in with a chance to win, as the prizes are determined by the player with most total points accumulated. With 5p0rtz you are never out of the game."

Sp0rtz is sponsoring the Best Gambling Football Blog Award at today’s Football Blogging Awards, held at Alexandra Palace and streamed via Sky Sports’ digital channels.

Totally Gaming says: Having stated an objective to become a market leader by 2019, this summer’s World Cup takes on huge significance for 5p0rtz. The brand’s awareness over the rest of the year will be driven by a Snack Media-driven digital and social campaign comprised of social media management, influencer outreach, activations overview and bespoke sponsored editorial.
