Amaya-owned PokerStars said customer demand has led it to add a host of social casino games through a partnership with Imperus Technologies.

Imperus will provide the online gaming operator with a selection of its Akamon subsidiary's slot games, including 'Fire Wheel 7s', ‘Monte Carlo’ and ‘Salsa Nights’. The titles will be available via the brand’s ‘Jackpot Poker by PokerStars’ free-to-play mobile application.

Lloyd Melnick, director of social at PokerStars, said the brand that although the brand established itself as one of the market’s leading providers of online games, it was keen to enhance its social gaming offering to cater for customer demand.

“Players have told us they want the ability to play slots while enjoying our jackpot tournaments and cash games,” Melnick said. “The addition of Akamon's slots to Jackpot Poker by PokerStars is the next evolution of Jackpot Poker, and we will continue to add the features and capabilities our players want.”

Vicenç Marti, president of Imperus, added: “The agreement not only illustrates the popularity of our slot game titles but also shows our enormous potential to the rest of the industry as a way to increase social gaming market share.” “The addition of more social games will help PokerStars, already such a significant presence in the market, to diversify.”
