Andy Bagguley has made changes

Ladbrokes’ new managing director of digital has made a number of changes to the bookmaker’s digital team as part of the operator’s ongoing drive to boost its various digital operations.

Andy Bagguley was last month promoted to the position to replace Jim Mullen, who stepped aside from the role a month earlier to become the firm’s new chief executive officer.

Bagguley, who served as director of mobile and devices at Ladbrokes prior to his promotion, has now made a number of changes to his team in an effort to help the operator continue its digital recovery.

In a statement confirming the news to, Ladbrokes said that the re-structure will see Dipen Nagda promoted from his role as head of mobile at the bookmaker to the position of head of digital products.

Nagda, who will report directly to Bagguley, is currently in his second spell with Ladbrokes, having re-joined the firm in 2012 as mobile sportsbook product owner, a role in which he played a major part in overhauling Ladbrokes’ mobile strategy.

Meanwhile, Barry Sage is to retain his role as director of sportsbook and will take on more responsibility for the commercial management of the operator’s sportsbook products. Also reporting directly to Bagguley, Sage will assume responsibility for text betting and API in addition to content and social media teams.

The restructuring of the digital team comes at a time when Ladbrokes has made a number of changes to its senior management.

In addition to the appointments of Bagguley and Mullen in recent weeks, the operator this month confirmed the departure of long-serving executive chairman Peter Erskine, while communications director John Petit has also recently stepped down from his role at the bookmaker.
