The group has signed a new partnership with Bristol Rovers

Bristol Rovers FC has revealed a record deal, unveiling Football INDEX as its new front of shirt sponsor for the 18/19 season.

The world’s first football stockmarket provides users with an exciting alternative to traditional betting markets where traders can buy and sell shares in professional footballers with real money.

Mike Bohan, Chief Marketing Officer at Football INDEX told TotallyGaming.com: “We are delighted to be partnering with Bristol Rovers next season. Unbelievably exciting times, and it’s been an incredible journey for Football INDEX to get here. Our goal is for Football INDEX to become part of the fabric of football. We’re still a relatively new brand and the only place people can buy and sell shares in their favourite footballers. It’s essential we increase our touch points with fans to really become part of the game and get our message out that there is a better way to bet.  

“Bristol Rovers are a fantastic club steeped in tradition, and of course they occupy one of the UK’s most cosmopolitan and exciting cities, which is our target audience. We’re delighted to be working with them and look forward to following the club up and down the country sporting Football INDEX shirts next season.”

Further emphasising the importance of relevant sponsorships in growing the Football INDEX brand, he continued: “The Bristol Rovers partnership is one of the strategic pillars of success in making Football INDEX a household name. In addition to our Rovers deal we are making a significant season long investment with both Sky Sports and talkSPORT covering live Premier League & Championship matches. So for the first time we will have vast coverage across traditional media covering England’s top three divisions.

“We also have a very special surprise appearance on our TV and Radio adverts, basically someone who’s been the voice of English football for four decades. This kind of endorsement will bring Football INDEX straight into the football psyche.”  

As part of the newly formed partnership, the Football INDEX logo will be on the front of all first team and adult replica home and away shirts for the upcoming season.

He went onto highlight the competitive nature of the market, stating: “The UK gambling market is fiercely competitive but we're taking the challenge straight to the bookies who've had it all their own way for too long. People want extended entertainment value and a more satisfying experience than an acca that’s dead in one afternoon. At Football INDEX they get to stay in the game.

“A great deal of our customers are saying they’ve packed in the bookies since discovering Football INDEX. I’d say that’s an eminently sensible decision, and long may it continue.”
