Partnership to run for initial year long period

Sporting Solutions has detailed that it has won a “competitive public procurement” to enter into partnership with Swedish state-owned gambling operator Svenska Spel.

The sportsbook and lottery providers beat off competition from a number of rival firms, and will now supply Svenska Spel with its outsourced pricing services (OPS).

Initially running for one year, the Scandinavian company has the right to extend the relationship by a further year should it so wish.

Simon Trim, CEO of Sporting Group, told TotallyGaming.com: “Sporting Solutions has demonstrated throughout the procurement process a unique ability to provide bespoke solutions to Svenska Spel.

“One of their main pricing focuses has been tennis, and with our proven ability to model all the way down to mixed doubles level, as well as more, comprehensive coverage of key sports globally, we believe we set ourselves apart.

“With decades of pricing and trading experience and our knowledge of the region’s regulatory environment, we have the in-depth trading and modelling expertise that Svenska Spel require.

“We expect to form a strong, flexible partnership in our first year, and we are optimistic about our ability to provide Svenska Spel with the strong margins that will push this relationship forward for years to come.”

Sporting Solutions are to supply pre-match and in-play pricing across various core sports for the Swedish market, detailing that its OPS “combines best-of-breed algorithms, official data and longstanding trading heritage to deliver margin enhancing pricing across 25+ sports.”

Svenska Spel are also set to benefit from Sporting Solutions self-trade technology, which will allow them to “leverage their traders’ local expertise to differentiate effectively against generic white-label and private operator offerings.”

Totally Gaming says: This represents a coup for Sporting Solutions, beating off competition from a number of firms to secure this partnership with “one of the most established names in lottery sports betting". It remains to be seen if this deal can thrive and be extended beyond its initial one year term.
