Contract now runs until 2024

Scientific Games has signed a six-year extension to its contract to supply instant win games to the Texas Lottery.

The new contract extends a supply agreement that dates back to the lottery’s inception 26 years ago until 2024.

It will see Scientific Games continue to provide the lottery with a range of products, including its Scratch My Back products, where customers have chances to win on both sides of the ticket, and the HD Games range.

"The Texas Lottery recognizes the continuous innovation that Scientific Games invests to create very marketable games that are not only enjoyed by our players, but help us make important contributions to education and veterans' assistance in our state," Texas Lottery executive director Gary Grief said.

“Scientific Games is a trusted business partner, and we look forward to six more years of 'scratch' game entertainment that has been a vital part of the Texas Lottery's growth over many years,” Grief added.

The supplier’s senior vice president of instant products John Schulz said Scientific Games was “honoured” to have signed the contract extension.

"Led by an account team that is highly experienced with the Texas Lottery's unique business and revenue requirements, our game designers are already innovating more value-added products that can help the Lottery achieve its financial goals in the coming years.”
