New contract sees Intralot continue partnership first established in 2008

Lotteries and gaming solutions provider Intralot has been selected as the Nederlandse Loterij’s new central systems and terminal supplier.

The supplier won a competitive international tender that saw it selected to continue providing its technology to the lottery, which was formed in 2016 through the merger of the Nederlandse Staatsloterij and De Lotto.

Intralot had worked with each company since 2008, signing a six-year contract, which was extended for two years in 2014.

The transition to Intralot’s new systems is expected to begin early next year.

“After an intensive international tender process in which we have compared services of top suppliers in the gaming industry, we are confident Intralot will be able to deliver the quality and flexibility we need to meet the challenges in a fast and changing market,” Nederlandse Loterij chief financial officer Arjan Blok said.

Intralot chief commercial officer Nikos Nikolakopoulos added: “We are thrilled to be selected by Nederlandse Loterij for the supply of a new central system and terminals solution.

“Through this cooperation opportunity we bring our latest technological innovations of a flexible modular central system that minimizes time-to-market and reduces operator total cost of ownership along with the most advanced camera clerk operated terminal that will offer tremendous benefits to the operator and the retailers’ network,” Nikolakopoulos explained.
