The developers will supply one another’s content to key lottery operators

Online lottery game developers Gamevy and Glück Games have announced a strategic partnership that will see the companies combine their existing portfolios and pursue the joint development of new products.

Under the terms of the deal, which was unveiled at the Global Lottery Messenger Forum in Amsterdam this week, Gamevy and Glück will supply one another’s content to key operators.

Though relatively new to the industry, the companies have already made their mark on the instant-win sector, with both having won the ICE Game to Watch competition as a result of their high-quality titles.

Gamevy and Glück Games have previously collaborated together, sharing a stand at ICE Totally Gaming in February.

Discussing the partnership, Helen Walton, Gamevy’s chief commercial officer, told “Our technical integration is in progress and should complete soon.

“We remain two separate companies, but we believe there’s more to gain in collaborating than competing. When facing giant incumbents, it makes sense for start-ups who are trying to innovate to join forces.

“We’re lucky to have met a company with a similar, open philosophy and an equally ‘go-get-em’ approach.”

According to Walton, the first operators are expected to go online with the joint portfolio over the next month.

The partnership is also anticipated to herald the joint development of new instant-win products from Gamevy and Glück, and Walton said both firms will be working to explore new opportunities in the online lottery space.

“We passionately believe there are real opportunities for lottery to update itself – to become more immediate, but also more playful and engaging and woo a new generation of customers as an entertainment for the digital era,” she stated.

“This is going to be a really exciting time for lotteries who choose to embrace that – a true renaissance.”

Totally Gaming says: The tie-up between Gamevy and Glück is a win-win for the developers and the operators they serve. With both firms eager to collaborate on the creation of new instant-win titles, it will be interesting to see what new innovations arise over the coming months.
