The gambling and iGaming industry can be a boisterous bunch at the best of times. There’s no place better to rant and ramble than in the realm of Twitter so we round up the best social media from the last seven days.

This week marked the start of one of the most eagerly awaited media tours of all time, with two-weight UFC champion, Conor McGregor finally facing off against the man commonly regarded as the best boxer of the modern era, Floyd Mayweather. Whilst boxing experts remain dubious about his chances, the Irishman’s tenacious performances in the press conferences appear to have convinced punters that he may have a few tricks up his sleeve on August 26.

Paddy Power revealed that it had a surge in bets on one of the fights more extraordinary markets.

Away from boxing and off to Amsterdam, where the iGaming Super Show has been taking place this week. While there was plenty of business to be done, one of the key battlegrounds on the showfloor is how to catch the eye. Microgaming did it by appealing to the sweet side of attendees.

Many were enjoying the array of free ice cream flavours on offer from the Microgaming van. Each scoop came complete with edible emoji as the company launches a new emoji-based game:

Organisers iGaming Business got into the swing of things after being challenged by Microgaming to do the #10scoopchallenge. They managed it but not without a late rush to the finish line on the final day.

Heading over to the United States of America where the DFS war continues to wage. Dustin Gouker, DFS expert gave credit to Boom Fantasy for pushing the boat out in the fantasy world, and pushing the new laws to their limits:

Finally, and staying with the realm of Daily Fantasy Sports, the big news that FanDuel and DraftKings were no longer to merge definitely roused interest in the industry. Judging by the tone of expert Chris Grove’s tweet, it’s safe to say that he definitely wasn’t wholly surprised by the news:
