$11 million - The value of the merger between Tabcorp Holdings and Tatts Group, the merger moved a step closer this week, following approval of the scheme from the Supreme Court of Victoria. In a note to Tabcorp shareholders, chairman Paula Dwyer, said: “The combination creates a world-class, diversified gambling entertainment group, with a large national footprint and a diverse product offering across wagering, media, lotteries, Keno and gaming services.

“The combination brings together two highly complementary businesses and a strong pool of talent from within each organisation, ensuring that the combined group is well positioned to invest, innovate and compete in a rapidly evolving operating environment.

“The combination is expected to create significant value for Tabcorp shareholders, and benefits for our customers, racing industry, agencies, licenced venues, newsagents, and Federal, State and Territory Governments.”

22- The number of games that will be added to  Project11’s La Liga portfolio, after the perimeter advertising operator, deliver the opportunity to further increase brand exposure using Digital Billboard Replacement (DBR) technology, agreed a deal with  Atlético Madrid. The deal will enable La Liga brands to benefit from more La Liga advertising opportunities than ever before.

13 - The number of years that industry veteran Marc Thomas spent in various roles at William Hill, before he started his new role as a partner of Propus Partners LLP, the premier betting and gaming operational consultancy. Thomas commented: : “I’m really excited to be joining Propus and looking forward to working with Mark Israney again.

“The gambling market, as always, is a hugely innovative and exciting space and think the company is in prime position to provide advice and services to existing operators, new entrants to the market and the supplier community.”

1- Complaint was received by the ASA about a tweet sent out by one of ProgressPlay’s licensees that operates the brand Fruity King Casino, it referred to an image of female presenters in their swimwear from a daytime television show and the text, “You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig. #LooseWomen18.” The ASA welcomed the response of ProgressPlay which was to immediately order the tweet to be removed and to ensure that no future derogatory tweets are published.
