Delivering the week's news in a set of easy-to-manage figures

£100,000- The prize pool of this Saturday’s Celebration Mile at Goodwood Racecourse, which will now be sponsored by Grosvenor Sport. The Group Two ‘Grosvenor Sport Celebration Mile’ is considered the highlight of Goodwood’s three-day August Bank Holiday meeting. Steve Munns, Head of Grosvenor Sport, stated that Grosvenor Sport are ‘really excited’ about the sponsorship, describing it as a ‘one of the most beautiful racecourses in the world.’

80- The amount of games in Pragmatic Play’s portfolio, that will be rolled out by new partner GVC, These include games such as Wolf Gold, Hot Safari, Queen of Gold, and 7 Monkeys, as well as the recently launched Jurassic Giants and forthcoming Pixie Wings.

$40.1 million-  The revenue generated by the Vegas based Full House casinos, in Q2 of 2017. The records indicate growth for the group, who in the correlating period of 2016, recorded $34.6 million. The results are also through a period in which many of the group’s resorts underwent renovations.

£250,000- The amount Paddy Power paid out on Floyd Mayweather defeating Conor McGregor, three days before the opening bell. This was in spite of 80% of bets being placed with Paddy Power on the fight, being put on McGregor.

The fight will go down as the biggest betting event in boxing history, with it trebling the interest of the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather in 2015. Bookmakers are also expecting the fight to be the most popular betting event of the year, with Paddy Power anticipating that at least £200 million will be staked on the bout.

£3.6 billion-  The amount that the Financial Times reported FTSE-listed GVC Holdings bid in its failed attempted bid to takeover UK market rival Ladbrokes Coral Plc. It appears that Ladbrokes Coral governance will not present the GVC takeover offer to its investors, as there is a firm disagreement relating to the company’s value.
