Breaking down all the week's news into a set of easy to manage figures.

3/10 - The odds for Norwegian sensation Magnus Carlsen to win this year’s FIDE World Chess Championships. Kindred Group subsidiary Unibet has agreed to become the official betting partner of the tournament, which takes place in London from 9-28 November.

Confirming the partnership, Richard Østrøm, Country Manager for Unibet Norway, said: “Since Magnus Carlsen became world champion, we have seen a large and growing interest in betting on big chess tournaments.

“As the leading online bookmaker in Europe, we want to be a part of and contribute to big sporting events, and we are very happy to be the preferred betting partner for World Chess both before and during the World Championship.

“We believe that this year’s World Championship showdown between Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana in London will establish chess as a permanent fixture in betting.”

90,000 - The amount of boxing fans that will squeeze into Wembley to watch Anthony Joshua OBE’s next title defence against Alexander Povetkin next month.

The sporting icon has signed an initial one-year sponsorship deal with William Hill and will feature in the company’s exciting new integrated advertising campaigns over the next twelve months.

AJ will also appear in the firm’s social media and PR activities, promoting the William Hill brand in a fun, interactive and responsible way.

Joshua joins William Hill’s current brand ambassador team, which already includes Sir Anthony McCoy, Kirsty Gallacher and Robbie Savage.

10 - The amount of Spanish top flight clubs that have signed sponsorship deals with UK bookmaking giant bet365.

The Stoke-based operator revealed the host of deals on Wednesday, with RCD Espanyol, Villarreal, Athletic Club, Real Betis, Getafe, SD Huesca, Celta Vigo, Rayo Vallecano, Real Valladolid and SD Éibar being the La Liga clubs in question.

The partnerships have been reached until the 2020 season and follow on from bet365’s sponsorship of Spanish Football coverage on Sky Sports, which expired at the end of last season. The deal wasn’t renewed after Sky Sports lost the rights to Spanish football to UK broadcasting newcomer Eleven Sports.

£5000 - The amount that the customer who has a winning single bet with the biggest odds will claim in BetVictor’s new “Best Bet Wins” promotion.

The promotion commences in time for the first round of Premier League games and it replaces “Golden Goal”, which the operator has been running for the last two seasons.

Best Bet Wins works in the same way as the successful World Cup campaign, “The Million Pound Bet”, with the customer who has a winning single bet with the biggest odds scooping the £5,000 prize fund. A real-time leaderboard will allow customers to track their own progress in the competition and see what bets are currently leading.

11 - Eleven Sports, a new player in the UK sports broadcasting ecosystem, has unveiled an innovative new streaming deal with Facebook that will see the social media site, become Eleven’s free-to-air partner in the UK and Ireland.

The newly formed partnership means that on a weekly basis, at least one match per week from both La Liga and Serie A will be shown live and free of charge on the broadcaster’s UK Facebook page.

Placing a greater focus on social content, the firm has also revealed that in-game highlights and clips as well as weekly review shows will be available on the firm’s social channels.
