Golden Race's online platform was unveiled at ICE 2017

Throughout 2017, Golden Race has focused on the development of its online and direct-to-mobile platform, the industry’s first all-in-one virtual betting sportsbook.

We spoke to the company’s CEO Martin Wachter to discuss the transition of virtuals into a digital focused product, whether they should be treated as a casino or sports betting product, and the importance of cross channel learning for new product launches.

Totally Gaming: Can you explain to our readers how virtuals have transitioned from a retail proposition to a digital focused product?

Martin Wachter: Over time, players have changed their priorities having their tastes expand from the retail to the internet access due to – and thanks to - the influence of PCs, tablets and smartphones. We have been adapting our solutions to bring a relevant alternative to the traditional betting experience through our unique and complete online and mobile platform.

Based on the same traditional rules, our games are available for players to play in all the markets worldwide. With a responsive web design, and nothing new for gamers to learn, the sportsbook offers an authentic betting experience with dynamic events where accessibility predominates.

TG: How should virtual sports be treated by digital operators - as a casino or sports betting product? Should this product definement even matter?

MW: Our virtual sports are betting products where we include our portfolio of games. Our casino offer is completely different. We develop in-house games to fulfill client’s wishes to bring virtual games, HD games and LIVE games to them while maintaining the classic casino games.

Among our virtual games, we have Spin 2 Win, our fast-paced modern French roulette; popular Keno; Perfect 6; the casino favorite Mini Roulette and our Poker, where players see everyone’s cards before picking the winner.

Our exclusive HD games Roulette, Spin 2 Win and Baccarat showcase real and beautiful hostesses broadcasting the lucky numbers in fully digital-themed scenarios. Live Games include Keno and our very own developed Bet on Numbers.

TG: For digital operators, how does the Golden Race team rollout virtual sports inventory for customers who may not be accustomed to its product range?

MW: We study the markets worldwide and visit gaming fairs and shows during the year to know exactly what trends are being followed and meet the needs of clients’ requests. This enables us to offer a plethora of new sports games that is increasingly multilingual and multicurrency.

We offer realistic graphics, outstanding motion and incredible visuals topped with instant and complete control of odds, limits and margins. Apart from our renowned 3D Football and award-wining HD Real Fighting, we have recently launched and are now promoting HD Horse Racing and Basket 3x3.

TG: Are we seeing any new digital disciplines evolve in the development of virtual games, such as gamification components or live rewards?

MW: There are always new developments taking place in the industry. We are focusing on the client’s will to seek availability. Therefore, we have developed an on-demand feature, so clients can play whenever and wherever they want, with an exclusive game at their entire disposal. This custom made-to-order offer is our outstanding new digital contribution to better the gaming experience.
