Nordic Affiliate Conference set for an explosive start

Nordic Affiliate Conference set for an explosive start

Friday, March 24, 2017 Posted by Sam Cooke

Those fortunate enough to be attending the inaugural Nordic Affiliate Conference in Stockholm will be treated to a 3 course meal prepared by Markus Aujalay, one of Sweden’s most celebrated chefs.

We reached out to iGB’s Head of Operations Shona ODonnell for further comment on why they decided to launch this affiliate conference in Stockholm. She commented: “The Nordics has long been an epicentre of gaming innovation, so it made sense for iGB Affiliate to launch a dedicated event in the region. We did a survey recently and Sweden came up as an event location, and we decided that 2017 was the right year to launch a regional event in the area.”

The company runs a number of other similar conferences throughout Europe and this marks the next expansion in terms of a new region. Delegates attending will gather on the evening of the 6th at an old explosives factory in which Alfred Nobel invented dynamite. ODonnell explained: “Our conferences in London, Amsterdam and Berlin are well established, and so this was the logical next step for us. We’ve seen so many successful gaming companies and massive affiliates come out of this region, from some of the biggest names in the industry to many exciting start-ups, so the inaugural NAC is going to feature a real mix of expertise.

“The event will not be as large as our other conferences, but instead we’ve worked hard to create a lounge-style feel that will encourage networking and the sharing of knowledge.

On the subject of MasterChef Sweden star Aujalay's inclusion, she said: “Additionally we are hosting a networking dinner at Winterviken on 6thApril, where dinner will be made by one of Sweden’s most celebrated chefs, so that delegates can network before the event starts. We have some really big names confirmed already, and are looking forward to welcoming everyone to Stockholm on the 6th – 7th April!”

Totally Gaming says: There has been a lot of noise in igaming from Nordic operators over the past year, with the likes of LeoVegas and Mr Green, so including an affiliate show in Stockholm makes a lot of sense.
