Clarion Gaming to incentivise CEOs to nominate more women speakers

Clarion Gaming are launching a programme to encourage more women to join senior level debates that are shaping the gaming industry. Clarion are hoping the initiative will help their journey to encourage diversity and inclusion with the exposure they can give female speakers on their conference agendas.

Starting with the TEN© network, Clarion will be offering group delegate discounts to CEOs that nominate and deliver female speakers at their conferences.

“Having tried in vain to grow the number of women speaking at our conferences, we realised that the problem was more fundamental,” Conference Manager Sadie Walters explained.

“Due to the general lack of female representation in senior positions across the gaming sector, we realised that the pool of female speakers available to us was also to scale.”

The campaign which will be launched on International Women’s Day, will not only offer favourable discounts to companies who actively nominate and deliver female speakers, they will also be represented in an on-going campaign featured at all of our events.

“We believe that for real movement to happen on this, support has to come from the top down, so we will be approaching our TEN network first and foremost. We know that there is support out there for such an initiative and the next step is for us to facilitate that.”

Clarion, who deliver the largest gaming event in the world, ICE Totally Gaming, produce multiple conferences discussing emerging jurisdictions and political matters at the highest level and want to encourage more women to join these discussions in a bid to eventually aid the gender dynamics of the gaming industry.
