This year’s EIG Expo has closed with an upsurge in attendance, according to organisers Clarion Events.

Preliminary figures suggest that the number of delegates attending the three day conference in Berlin was up by 18%.

Event director - gaming at Clarion Rory Credland explained: “The industry has really responded to what we have been trying to do with EIG over the last few years as the latest upturn in delegate numbers demonstrates.”

EIG 2016 featured four conference areas and 62 different exhibitors across three days in what has become one of the key dates in the industry calendar.

Curtis Roach, senior conference producer at Clarion was particularly pleased at the development of the show. He said: “We’ve had over 100 experts speaking across almost 40 sessions over the three days, giving delegates valuable insight into all sectors of the igaming industry. It has been a true demonstration of Excellence in IGaming.”

This is the third year that EIG has been held in Berlin, sparking discussion over where next year’s instalment might pitch up. The conference has a tradition of moving across Europe, having previously been held in Nice, Barcelona, Milan and Copenhagen.

Credland added: “The industry is excited to find out where EIG will be next year. No decision has been made yet, but watch this space.”
