VSoftCo has outlined its intentions regarding the sports themed game sector, placing a significant focus on virtuals in the process.

This follows a new multi-year agreement with Sport-Shotz, the sports themed casino games provider, which will see its complete portfolio of games integrated onto the VSoftCo platform.

Detailing the significance of the new deal, Simon Westbury, VSoftCo chief commercial officer, told TotallyGaming.com: “The signing of this multi-year agreement is very exciting for VSoftCo, it demonstrates our commitment to our core strategy of becoming the home of sports based content, whether that be casino or virtual sports.

"The Sport-shotz games that will be integrated onto our platform are a perfect addition as we expand this strategy, allowing operators a perfect tool in offering their customers the market leading virtual and casino based sports content.”

Before detailing how VSoftCo plans to develop its future product portfolio: “We have been developing a strategy over the last twelve months to be the home of all sports based content. That will see us to continue to develop our virtual football product that continues to be our core focus.

“We have used our connections with Sheffield United to use the players for motion capture, but we are also now focused on the development into other areas.

“The launch of our cross over product Spot the Ball, and the signing of our recent deal with Sport-Shotz, is seeing us developing or distributing sports based casino product which is very exciting.

Adding: “However exciting our strategy is, it needs to be defined by developments in the sector, and we are keen to drive the sector forward at the same time.

“I think our strategy will be driven and defined by developments of consumer digital dynamics, but it is important to remember that is one focus area.

“We need to ensure that we are supplying our customers with a full 360 approach in virtual sports, but also look to expand into other sectors that will benefit existing and new customers in the wider sports themed game sector.”

Totally Gaming says: Sport-Shotz, whose tagline ‘where casino meets sport,’ highlights the USP that the firm offers, and they will no doubt benefit hugely from this long term partnership. Virtuals on the other hand are no doubt a vertical very much on the up, and could well be commonplace in sportsbook products in the future.
