A lucky Sky Vegas player has taken advantage of the decision from Blueprint Gaming to re-release ‘The Pig Wizard’ into the company’s suite of Jackpot King games.

Formerly a stand-alone progressive pot, The Pig Wizard produced the online casino’s “biggest ever jackpot” on 21 April, as the winner picked up a £3,167,063.30 prize from just a 20p stake.

Along with re-releasing the game into the Jackpot King progressive jackpot system, the UK-based game studio also took the opportunity to convert the five-reel, 20-line slot game into HTML5 format.

Matt Cole, Managing Director of Blueprint Gaming, told “Pig Wizard has historically been one of our most popular games. The game has a good following to this day, so with the recent semi-demise of Flash and the responsive multi-device HTML5 format coming to the forefront, the conversion of the game made extremely good commercial sense.

“The game in its original format featured a stand-alone progressive pot (pot only within that single game), so we took the re-release opportunity to add the game into the Jackpot King family.”

Part of Germany’s Gauselmann Group, Blueprint has now created two Jackpot King winners on Sky Vegas, with the first amounting to £1.6 million, just over half the amount of this record prize.

Totally Gaming says: With HTML5 format taking over for slot games, it made sense for Blueprint to bring one of its most historically popular games up to speed. It is amazing that ‘The Pig Wizard’ has produced such a huge winner so soon after its re-release into the suite of Jackpot King games.
