PlayOJO, the online casino operator with a “for the players” ethos, has set its sights on Scandinavian dominance after ramping up marketing activity in Sweden.

Driven by a belief that “funds deposited and won by the player should belong to them”, PlayOJO is hoping to build on its success in the UK by launching an €8 million TV campaign in Sweden.

The TV campaign, supplemented by additional placements across digital media and billboards, will launch early next year, and see PlayOJO become one of top three online casino ad spenders in Sweden, just as it is in the UK.

PlayOJO's Ohad Narkis told “PlayOJO is making a major push into Scandinavia, and we are thrilled to have opened our digital doors to players in Denmark as part of this drive.

“We take a very different approach to how we reward our players; we are open, honest, and believe the money they win is theirs to keep. Our bonuses come with no wagering requirements; players can withdraw the cashback into their wagering accounts at any time. This sets us aside from our rivals.

“Our launch in Denmark coincides with a major marketing push in Sweden, where we will soon launch an £8m TV advertising campaign. We are confident Scandinavian players will like the PlayOJO way of doing things, and that we will be a major player in the market.”

As explained by Narkis, the operator’s OJOplus rewards players with cashback on every single wager, whether they win or lose, which can be withdrawn into their wallet at any time with no restrictions. This has been designed to “maximise the fun factor” and “stand out from the crowd”, but also because PlayOJO believes that operators have no right to put any restrictions on player funds.

“The GB Gambling Commission requires operators to segregate player funds from company funds,” Narkis continued. “PlayOJO does this, but also goes one step further to ensure they are 100% protected and that the player is in control.”

Totally Gaming says: PlayOJO is hopeful that a “full-bore” TV campaign will further boost its player base in Sweden. However, a recent launch with Yggdrasil Gaming, a supplier of online and mobile casino games, will also prove critical to its success in the region.
