Second Mexican customer secured in Caliente

Digital casino solutions provider NetEnt has continued its expansion into globally regulated markets by signing a second customer in Mexico.

Caliente, Mexico’s largest online gaming operator, will see a number of the NetEnt digital gaming portfolio supplied to its online casino.

Björn Krantz, managing director of NetEnt Americas LLC, told “NetEnt will provide a large selection of its best in breed desktop and mobile games to the frontrunner in the Mexican market.

“Caliente Interactive has gained significant traction on, especially the sports betting side, and are enhancing their efforts on online casino, which a deal with NetEnt clearly indicates.

“The Mexican regulated online gaming market is still in its infancy so we anticipate a large growth in the coming years as the market matures. Mexico is a large country with almost 130 million inhabitants.”

He added: “Our ambition is to expand our business into regulated markets. We have great hopes that (the) online casino segment in Mexico will mature and provide sustainable long term growth in the next few years.

“We continue to monitor the regulatory developments throughout the LatAm region, and will consider further expansion as business viable.”

Totally Gaming says: NetEnt’s expansion into globally regulated markets is certainly gathering pace, with this latest deal following similar ones with the National Bulgarian Lottery, Serbian gaming operator Mozzart and Codere, also of Mexico. LatAm could very much be the immediate target for further growth, with Mr Krantz stating that possibilities to extend the company’s reach in the region could arise in the future.
