The Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City is to become the latest operator to launch an online gaming service in the US state of New Jersey. Powered by SNG Interactive, a joint venture between Sportech and NYX Gaming Group, will be part-launched tomorrow (Friday) and undergo a week-long test period. If the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement does not find any major faults with the platform, it will be eligible for full launch in the state next week...

Also in the online gaming sector, has appointed Liz Catchpole and Barry Gibson as independent non-executive directors. The pair will fill the roles that will be vacated by Rod Perry and Helmut Kern, who will depart the company after its Annual General Meeting this year. Gibson will take on Perry’s role as chairman of the remuneration committee and senior independent director, while Catchpole will replace Kern as chairman of the audit and risk committee...

Meanwhile, over in Australia, Tatts Group has posted a one per cent year-on-year growth in revenue to Aus$1.5bn (€1.0bn/$1.2bn) for the six months through to December 31, 2014. The gaming giant reported “excellent” progress in its digital sales, with the Tatts digital channel contributing $193.4m to the total revenue figure for the period...

Norwegian national lottery operator Norsk Tipping has launched a new lottery service in the Scandinavian country. Nabolaget, which translates as ‘the neighbours’ in English, offers players a top prize of NOK1m. The closest participating players to the main winner will also be eligible for prizes up to NOK100,000...

And finally, the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers has expanded its membership roster to 150 companies. The organisation has also extended the contract of executive director Marcus Prater for another three-year term. Prater’s existing deal was due to expire at the end of this month.
