EveryMatrix CEO targets ‘significant’ boost in Denmark

Ebbe Groes, chief executive officer of EveryMatrix, has told TotallyGaming.com that the gaming services provider is aiming to acquire a “significant market share” in Denmark after applying for a combined Betting and Casino licence in the country.

Having submitted its application to the Danish Gambling authority, EveryMatrix will now certify software to ISO standard 17001 for its GamMatrix, OddsMatrix and CasinoEngine products.

The firm will undergo various security and penetration assessments to ISO standard 17025, and will also adjust its offering to better suit the Danish market.

If EveryMatrix is successful with its application, it will be able to order clients white-label solutions in addition to operating under the licence using its own certified gaming platform.

The move comes shortly after authorities in Demark received approval from the European Commission to introduce modifications to the online gaming rules and regulations in the country.

Speaking to TotallyGaming.com about the application, Groes said that although EveryMatrix does not consider Denmark a key market due to the firm’s success elsewhere, it is hoping to build a significant presence in the country.

“Denmark is not going to be of massive importance in itself since we’re already of decent size outside Denmark, but it’s still a good market and we aim to gain a significant market share,” Groes said.

“We’re lucky to have on board industry veteran Richardt Funch for local sales and with both a strong local presence and a top notch offering this is one area where we expect our investment to pay off rather fast.

“EveryMatrix has a growing client base in Scandinavia and many of these brands are eager to enter the Danish market. By obtaining an operator licence for EveryMatrix we allow these clients, even if they operate on their own license in other jurisdiction, to enter the market at low cost.”

Groes also confirmed that EveryMatrix has plans to expand its services into other countries and could be set to apply for licences in other markets.

“Both for white-label/full service clients and for operators looking for certified software solutions for various jurisdictions, it’s our ambition to be a top-ranked provider and earn their consideration,” Groes said.

“In 2015, we’ve already started preparing for this by improving both on staff and procedures within our compliance team and this work is paying off.

“We already offer white-label and software provision services based on licenses in Malta, UK, soon Denmark, and we’ll continue from there.”
