Deal is just the second to be struck between a casino and an NFL team

Caesars Entertainment’s Horseshoe Casino Baltimore has agreed the operator’s first official partnership with a National Football League (NFL) team, pairing up with the Baltimore Ravens.

Through the agreement the Horseshoe will be able to use the Baltimore Ravens’ branding and logos to promote the team, while its 14Forty three-level feature bar will become a Ravens-branded venue.

Both the Horseshoe and the Ravens’ M&T Bank Stadium are located in Baltimore’s Southern Gateway Entertainment District, a new development below the Pigtown area of the city.

The deal is also the second of its kind to ever be agreed between an NFL team and a casino, following the deal struck by the Dallas Cowboys and the Winstar World Casino and Resort in September. That month the NFL amended its rules to allow its teams to partner casinos.

“Horseshoe Casino Baltimore has become a popular destination, particularly for Ravens fans before and after our home games,” Baltimore Ravens senior vice president of corporate sales and business development Kevin Rochlitz said. “We’re enthused about this partnership and believe it will further enrich the entertainment appeal surrounding M&T Bank Stadium. Additionally, we feel it will help contribute to the exciting development taking place throughout the area.”

Caesars regional president and Horseshoe general manager Erin Chamberlin added: “It is an honour for us to officially partner with our neighbour, the Baltimore Ravens.

“We are two strong Baltimore brands that are committed to the city and the region,” she explained. “We both offer a unique entertainment product with broad and complementary appeal. And, we share a common commitment to transforming the southern gateway into an unrivaled entertainment district that adds renewed energy and excitement to the area."
