The group signed a deal with Big Time Gaming

Online slot developer Big Time Gaming (BTG) has agreed a first of its kind deal with Blueprint Gaming that will allow the group to utilise the random reel modifier Megaways to design and develop its own games.

The Megaways mechanic, which debuted on BTG’s Dragon Born, allows any given spin to produce a different number of symbols across the reels, meaning players experience a totally different game with every spin. BTG has cornered the market with this innovation with games like Bonanza, White Rabbit and Extra Chilli.

When speaking to, Nik Robinson, Big Time Gaming CEO, was keen to emphasise just how positive an impact the Megaways mechanic has had on the UK market: “MegaWays is so unique in the fact that every spin manufactures a brand new game with a completely different pay system. Every spin takes a player on a new journey making it possibly the most compelling slot format to date.

He added: “It’s already proven to be a smash hit on all our UK customers sites, and has been for the last 18 months. This is a ground-breaking agreement that stands testament to the highly innovative and unique mechanics we have developed here at Big Time Gaming.”

The first Blueprint release that will incorporate Megaways is Diamond Mine, launching in May, which will be followed by Irish Riches Progressive.

The latest iteration of Megaways is powering BTG’s latest slot release, Extra Chilli, which has become the most successful LeoVegas launch of all time, smashing all previous KPIs from any provider.

Matt Cole, Managing Director at Blueprint Gaming, said: “BTG has created a great game format in MegaWays and we look forward to incorporating what has become a very well recognised mechanic in a set of future Blueprint titles.”

Totally Gaming says: The Megaways mechanic serves to enhance the enjoyment and unpredictability of slots, given that it has already proved to be a huge hit within the UK market, the Megaways element added to BluePrint strong portfolio can help Blueprint bolster its UK presence.
