Betfred has extended its partnership with Playtech until 2020

The head of eGaming at Betfred has described the “opportune” timing for extending the operator’s casino supplier partnership with Playtech.

Playtech, a FTSE-listed gambling technology provider, has agreed to continue its decade-long supplier agreement with Betfred, who they described as one of their “key partners and licensees”, until at least 2020.

Andy Horne told “Our Playtech casino, bingo and poker offerings have been both an integral and pivotal part of our eGaming portfolio for over a decade, and I am thrilled to be continuing this relationship for at least the next three years.

“The extension of the agreement has come at an opportune time regarding our roadmap for 2017 and we have very high hopes for our Playtech supported products in both the short and long term.”

Totally Gaming says: In May 2016, Betfred announced a 10-year agreement to move its digital platform for online gaming services to GVC Holdings. However, the termination of this partnership by mutual consent was announced last month, and here is the confirmation that Betfred will continue to be serviced by Playtech. GVC had also agreed to take over Betfred’s sports-betting provisions from GTECH, a part of International Game Technology (IGT).
